National Geographic Kids is presenting the Amazing Awesome Almanac 2020 Game Show, a fun, interactive, multimedia traveling quiz show celebrating the all-new 10th anniversary edition of the New York Times best-selling almanac for kids: National Geographic Kids Almanac 2020.

The world’s best-selling kids’ almanac is packed with incredible photos, tons of facts, crafts and fascinating features about animals, science, nature, technology, conservation and more.

“We wanted to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the almanac in a unique and exciting way, which led to the creation of the Amazing Awesome Almanac Game Show. We can’t wait to bring learning to life for kids around the country on the national tour.”

Rebecca Baines, Vice President and Editorial Director of Nat Geo Kids Books

As part of the Kids Almanac 10th anniversary celebration, National Geographic Kids is bringing this show to select schools. In May, the show goes on tour to 11 school auditoriums in the Boston, Philadelphia, and northern New Jersey metro areas.

Question categories cover the almanac chapters: Amazing Animals, Space and Earth, Going Green, Geography Rocks, and more. Charismatic gameshow host Alex B. Busbee is an expert at getting kids to actively participate in the game.

The National Geographic Kids Almanac – and the 2020 Almanac Challenge – are designed to motivate young readers to be the change they want to see in the world around them, inspiring them to become more involved environmentally, socially and in other ways. The traveling game show hopes to help encourage kids to interact with the content in the almanac and to make this content come to life.
